Sangeeta didi came to our center on June 2nd, 2010. When I first heard this news, I was so delighted that Sangeeta didi will be coming to our center. It was the first time that a senior teacher came to our center. It has never happened before in last 1 and 1/2 years.
So there was lot of happiness and anxiety at the same time for me on how to do things since there was no past experience of doing things. In the volunteer meeting that finished past 10 pm evening before the event, it was decided that everything should be in order and hall should be ready by 5pm next day. Next day was a working day too. Lots of things were to be done since we would have about 80-100 people coming to the center to attend the event. We needed to do decorate the hall, arrange prasad, picking up the couch for asan, seating arrangements, volunteers to prepare and serve the food, laying down sheets and mats to accommodate maximum people in the hall.
A team of volunteers put together this event with great energy such as arranging a big van to transport the couch, lifting it up and bringing in to the center, arranging shoe racks, decorating the hall with nice colorful backdrops and flowers and polishing the Pooja Kit, which now looks as good as brand new kit J. Arranging for the whole event was so much fun! I really cherished those moments, there was so much enthusiasm on everyone’s face and Grace was flowing through all the while.
Next day, it was such a pleasure to see when Didi walked in. I saw her beautiful smiling face with divine look on her - such a delight! Didi talked about how you have to do things with out being feverish about it. How we can fake our anger without being really angry and still be centered. How important it is to meditate twice a day and being in knowledge by watching or listening to Sutras once a day.
Since then I have been meditating twice a day and listening/watching/reading some knowledge that Guruji has made so readily available, for just for us. Just so blessed having Guruji in my life.
